Big Hat Championship Series

     The Big Hat Championship Series is back!  Owner Rudy Calzavara is delighted to announce the details for the 2010 contestant incentive awards.  There are ten participating rodeos. They are:

1.) July 2-3 Galena, IL (3rd is Tough Enough to Wear Pink night) **Double Points Rodeo 2.) July 14 Freeport, IL                                                                                               3.) July 15 Ottawa, IL

4.) St. Charles, IL  **Double Points Rodeo

5.) July 30 Oregon, IL                                                                                                6.) Aug 5 Milledgeville, IL

7.) Aug 14 Belvidere, IL

8.) August 21-22 Elkhorn, WI **Double Points Rodeo

9.) Sept 11 Belvidere, IL

10.) Sept 24-25-26 Sterling, IL  **Double Points Rodeo

The St. Charles, Belvidere & Elkhorn rodeos will award a $100.00 cash bonus to the winner of each event. All remaining rodeos will award a $50 cash bonus to each event winner. The CBR winner at Galena & Sterling will also receive a jewelry award specifically designed for them.

      Series awards include:  Highest Points Total (in one or multiple events)

$500.00 cash bonus

A beautiful custom made belt buckle

Merchandise awards

***$500 cash bonuses will also be awarded to the cowboy with the high points total in the Bareback & Saddle Bronc Riding events.***  (in addition to all other awards)

To qualify for awards you must be a current member of the IPRA/CSRA and compete in a minimum of 8 rodeos, (except Team Roping) where you must compete in a minimum of 6 rodeos.  Points will be awarded as follows at each rodeo.                                                                                                            

           1st place:   500 points                 2nd place:  400 points

           3rd place:  300 points                 4th place:   200 points

           5th place:  100 points                 6th place:    50 points

A Competition bonus of 100 points will be awarded for each rodeo you compete in. 

Standings will be posted at each rodeo and will also be listed on the Big Hat Rodeo website (www.bighatrodeo.com) & the IPRA and CSRA websites.  Awards will be presented at the Sept 26th Sterling, IL rodeo.  Please contact Lenora at Big Hat Rodeo Co.
